INTERNSHIP
This care provider is offering an Events Co-Ordinator internship for 4 – 6 months.

  • Manage all corporate events and assist as needed on channel marketing events.
  • Full understanding of event management requirements is key.
  • Manage all aspects of events: logistics, booth/space needs and design, signage, staff, collateral, vendors, shipments, invoices, schedules and timelines, etc.
  • Co-ordinate and arrange special events, projects and functions from start to finish.
  • Ensure optimum sales of tickets/tables to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Reports to be submitted to Marketing Manager
  • Project management of each event from conception to post mortem.
  • Secure, speakers, MC’s and other VIP guests for each function.
  • Develop and secure relationships with sponsors and build a sponsorship portfolio.
  • Compile all correspondence that pertain to events/projects
  • Utilise resources to initiate new projects and events.
  • Network with external Event companies.
  • The Event Co-ordinator is required to grow events, not just sustain them. The goal is to raise money and keep our costs to a minimum.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree or equivalent level education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to interact with wide variety of personnel
  • A highly motivated individual who is able to work well on their own initiative, as well as part of a team
